We research and analyze the latest technologies and continually enhance our systems to supply you with the most up-to-date information needed to meet your customers’ demands. By leveraging our in-house staff of full time IT experts with significant backgrounds in EDI, custom programming and technical support we have the ability to handle most technical communication needs and transaction requirements. Our Information Systems team has consistently provided intuitive solutions to meet our client partners' program requirements.

Our systems have been developed to facilitate a secure, accurate and efficient transfer of data. We have a combination of external as well as internal software solutions that can adapt to virtually any need. A variety of methods including EDI, FTP, XML and AS2 along with proprietary formats are used to transfer data with our customers.

Distribution Alternatives runs on an IBM iSeries server which provides back end processing support for order processing, EDI, warehouse management systems and our DB2 database. A group of Dell servers provides client access, client reporting, web site and email services. Our servers are securely housed at our headquarters in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. Internet VPN tunnels from our data center in Minnesota provide communication links to our west coast facilities.
